New Coffee – Ethiopia Natural Nigusse Lemma Limu

Hey, I finally got around to adding some new coffees to the online web store.  I know I have been lazy about getting new coffees added but I will do a better job of it in the future. I have added a nice single origen coffee from Ethiopia.  It is from the Limu region and run by the Edeto family.  Below is some information provided by my coffee broker:

  • The Ethiopian Nigusse Lemma Limu comes from a family-owned farm in Meto Gundb, in the Limu region of south-western Ethiopia. The farm owner, Lemma Edeto, began working with coffee nearly 60 years ago and has passed down his knowledge to his two sons Haile and Nigusse. Both sons maintain the farm, which their father recovered after it was confiscated in the 1970’s by the Derg Regime. The farm sits at about 2,000 meters above sea level with natural spring streams and native indigenous varietals. The Lemma family also processes their coffee, giving them full control of the end product up to the final export stage. In February 2014 Nigusse and his family were recognized for winning the African Taste of Harvest competition, awarded by the African Fine Coffee Assocation.

I am really enjoying this coffee. I has a nice creamy mouthfeel with some strawberry and light pineapple flavors.  The coffee is roasted to a light/medium degree and has a nice bright acidity to it.  You can buy some here at my shop or online at the web store by following the link: Ethiopia Natural Nigusse Lemma Limu
